iPull -- Video downloader App Reviews

Just wasted $5 there were no instructions nothing to figure how to ues it i thought apple checked these programs out before putting them in the store how can i get my money back this is a fraud

I literally couldnt open the application. They owe me $5, thats a scam. I couldnt even open your app. It wouldnt launch!

Had some problems on my side in getting this app to work. Contacted them and their quick response was extremely surprising and the patience and help I received was more than I expected. They obviously want you to be successful in using this app. and i am appreciative. The app works great once I used their help. Making audios is very simple. If you are interested in downloading music this app is the one to use. Thank you again.

Simple, basic app for downloading video from the internet. Just what I needed. I ran into some technical difficulty after several months of use, but the developer had a patch available to fix the problem. Developer answered inquiries promptly.

As is, it works wonderfully. However, for the life of me, I can’t figure out why the developer didn’t include drag-and-drop support for links onto the menu bar icon. That would have been a wonderful “finishing” touch (with room for updates. Also, adding videos from a youtube playlist has given me one gripe: iPull can’t regex out &list* to “de-playlist” the link, so I have to manually delete “&list” and everything beyond if I want iPull to find the video. I’m not quite sure why I haven’t seen updates like these recently; they appear very direct in the line of development, so I can only assume the developer doesn’t want to be i-pulled (hehe) from the app store bc the app allows dowloading of youtube videos, and possibly an update would jepeordize the position of the app in the store (i.e. the app may just be removed if he updates it). Just speculation. In conclusion: A wonderful app that works as-is, but there are some obvious places for improvement.

No doubt about it, iPull is the best value of any app I have purchased. Don’t let the low price fool you into thinking iPull is not as good as the more expensive video downloaders. Worked well on Safari, no need for me to change browsers to save a YouTube video. I could have saved myself a few moments of frustration had I read the FAQ-style questions FIRST, but I’ve always been the type that screws something up, THEN I read the directions. But surprisingly, when I emailed questions the tech replied pretty fast with thorough answers (unusual, as most don’t even write back). iPull is easy, quick and better than the two other more expensive downloaders I tried and wasted money purchasing. Buy it, you’ll be glad you did. eric

This application is very simple to use, doesn’t seem to use a lot of memory, and does exactly what it says it does. I purchased this on Christmas Day and had issues with downloading… I e-mailed expecting a response in a couple of days, but was promptly replied to and furnished a link that resolved my issue completely. Great app and outstanding customer service!!

It is small, unobtrusive, and it works fantastic! This little video downloader works as well as it says. It is well worth the price that I paid for it. This program takes up very ittle memory, and has no complexities. The only improvement that I would make is put a checkbox for downloading only audio in the same little bar where the URL is entered. But this app easily earned 5 stars from me!

this app doesnt work to well it tells me that the server is invalid im not sure what that means so i checked my wifi and it was fine but it still wouldnt work and after that now when ever i type in a link it turns grey and i can’t do anything about it and the only way to quit the app is to force quit

I think streaming services are catching on to this type of downloader. Are there plans to change to adapt to this? Also, why doesnt it download the highest possible stream? i am viewing all videos at 1080p and it still will only download the 720 version. how do i set it for only 1080p? youtube always offers multiple resolutions, mine always defaults to 1080p on the viewer, but through this app it only grabs the 720 version. hope this app isnt drawing to an end. It has been great!

After reading the reviews, I knew there would be some difficulty downloading videos. My issue wasn’t the quality or sound, but everytime I pasted a URL in the box, I received an error message: “Could not retrieve valid URL.” I tried this several ways as suggested in other comments, but it never worked. Really disappointed I spent the money.

App price has gone up to $5. It won’t even open on my Mac. No problems with any other apps. Rip Off

Pasted URL into iPull after ads and it worked fine. I just listened to a previous review and it works. Nuff said.

It might work and all but I haven’t seen it, they should have a video for how to use it because to this day I wish I didn’t buy it…
