Vimeo no longer downloads

I think streaming services are catching on to this type of downloader. Are there plans to change to adapt to this? Also, why doesnt it download the highest possible stream? i am viewing all videos at 1080p and it still will only download the 720 version. how do i set it for only 1080p? youtube always offers multiple resolutions, mine always defaults to 1080p on the viewer, but through this app it only grabs the 720 version.
